Any exploration of Egypt must include an awe-inspiring ride through amazing Luxor and the spectacular Valley of the Kings. The mind-blowing rock-carved burial temples of Egypt’s illustrious Pharaohs and powerful nobles will literally leave you speechless.
And while you’re at it, make sure to stop by the Djeser-Djeseru (“Holy of Holies”), the mortuary temple of Hatshepsut, for a major dose of Girl Power.
If you never knew a fabulous female Pharaoh could rule like a boss, you’re in for a delightful surprise. Hatshepsut (featured in the photograph below) wasn’t gonna let gender inequality get in the way of her leadership aspirations. This fabulous lady became one of the most successful pharaohs and most prolific builders of ancient Egypt.
She indeed was the “Foremost of Noble Ladies”!

It’s a great privilege to be able to visit places that one can only read in books. I would so love to travel with you Ndoema haha!
I absolutely adore the top you are wearing!
I learned something new today! I would love to learn more about Hatshepsut.
The only female pharaoh I know was Cleopatra. So glad to know about Hatshepsut. Thanks Ndoema!
Like most of Egypt’s historical structures, this place looks massive!
