Though Vienna is known as the “City of Music” (after all Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, and the Strauss-Dynasty all lived in Vienna and created some of their most famous compositions here), truth is this magical city boasts an equally vibrant Art scene.
In my opinion, when in Vienna, the Museumsquartier in the 7th District, is the place to be.
On my first Art outing, I headed straight for the Leopold Museum which houses the erotically-charged and provocative work of Egon Schiele but also showcases another artistic pioneer, Gustav Klimt (and many more exceptional Austrian artists).
The space itself is phenomenal with bold industrial skylights and an unmatched rooftop view of this Art-filled part of town.
