Feminine. Edgy. Minimalist. Graphic. Everything I love!
I had been sooo looking forward to discovering the Angel Sanchez fall 2014 collection. I’ve been an admirer of the Venezuelan designer’s architectural evening wear for a while but this was my very first time attending one of his shows during fashion week. I wasn’t originally going to be able to make it but thanks to an unexpected last minute schedule change, I was able to grab my seat and I’m so glad I did. It’s such a stunning collection! One of my personal favorites this season.
The daring cut (and cutouts) combined with the innovative incorporation of leather (pleated, draped and even shredded!) lend his elegant dresses an empowered stance I absolutely adore.
Oh, and need I mention the fabulous use of metallics! Absolutely gorge.
Can’t wait until next season!
P.S. Phillip caught me awestruck, and in instamaniac mode, during the show. Sporting a fab Son Jung Wan powersuit from the Korean designer’s fall 2013 runway collection (see the full look here).

I’m diggin’ the gowns! I’ve never seen anything like these before. The craftsmanship of the geometric cuts well as the play on texture was sublime!
