I’ve been using this awesome DIY makeup setting spray for a little while now and I’ve really been loving it so I thought I’d share with you my latest discovery.
The funny thing is that I’ve had both these ingredients at home forever but never thought of combining them until recently. And I’d never imagined they would work so well either. As I’ve shared earlier, I’m big on floral waters, they’re one of my beauty staples alongside raw foods, juicing and full-body detox. Neroli and Rose Damask hydrosols are my all-time favorites and if I didn’t have a laundry list of pressing to-do things I’d be spritzing my face 3 times per sec, I swear đ
For the longest time now I’ve had a predilection for mineral makeup. I particularly like the fact that it doesn’t get absorbed by the skin and that mineral powder foundations tend to be more minimalist in the ingredients department. However, I’m obsessed with all things glowy and dewy so I’m always on the lookout for ways to add an extra dose of shine back to my face. I was having a spontaneous beauty talk at my local health food store a few weeks ago with another natural beauty freak and she was talking about vegetable glycerine and how it has this wonderful ability to draw in moisture from the atmosphere… and right then and there I got this aha moment! I’ve had glycerine around the house forever (I’m always busy concocting plant-based homemade beauty treatments) and thought what if… I added a few drops to my rosewater and used this combo to set my mineral makeup for an extra dose of glow? Well, it works! And it’s got lasting power too.
I have a normal to dry skin but if you have a different skin type simply switch the rosewater for another more or less astringent hydrosol.
Shine on!

What I love about your blog posts is that you have tried and tested them.
I will keep coming back to your website.
Nice post!
In a hot and humid country where I am, I wonder how long this would last. I really do wanna use natural products.
I know you have the recipe ebooks Ndoema, how about a compilation of beauty tips too?
I’d be the firs to buy that đ
I cannot believe how easy this is. Seriously, just a few drops and that’s it? Sweet!
You would only get a glow like that when you’re in love đ
Or when you have really cool, home-made concoctions like this!

You should patent this or something, haha! I’m gonna try this. Thanks!
