This is my first foray into dark plum lip territory. I typically gravitate towards a nude glossy lip, a soft coral palette or my all-time fave matte red pout. But to put the final touch to this head-to-toe burgundy look I thought I’d take the plunge and go vampy. I still backed up a bit though by adding a touch of vibrant pink for that ombre lipstick effect (a first as well).
The cropped leather jacket is a personal fave. It’s so incredibly versatile. I don’t typically show too much skin so when my midriff is showing I’ll balance it out with pants or a floor-length skirt (like here or here). I rocked this fun cropped leather jacket with high-waist Dolce & Gabbana riding pants during fashion week a few seasons ago (you can catch a glimpse of the overall effect in Cosmopolitan UK, Fashionista and Japan’s Fashion Latte).
Funny enough, I recently stumbled upon this fabulous pair of vintage leather shorts that are the perfect match for my beloved jacket and literally within days I found the perfectly color-coordinated sunnies and platform stilettos (also featured here). Freaky! The suede and bakelite clutch is a vintage find that’s been lying in my closet for so long, I’d totally forgotten about it…

The cropped jacket is totally mad! From an outsider’s point of view, it’s like everything was made together. You’re a master stylist!
