A glimpse at the very first scene shot on the set of SECOND CHANCE, our upcoming fashion film that’ll soon kickstart
Phillip James, our talented director, pulled out all the stops for this impossibly glam arrival scene at the Thompson Beverly Hills hotel. Talk about getting the star treatment! The glimmering ivory stretch limo with chauffeur (hello!?). The throngs of adoring fans. His trademark glamorous lighting (Phillip doesn’t only light my face like magic but he manages to compose the shots so my mane will catch on fire! I swear, his eye is surreal). Oh… And that dress!
No soul-torturing method acting recall work for me in this scene. All I did was slip into this gorge scarlet one-shoulder Monika Chiang trumpet gown and I got into instant glam movie star mode. Easy does it! So to all of you thespians out there, swap your acting coach for a sexy Monika Chiang number … and remember to thank me at your Oscar acceptance speech!
No seriously, I had such a grand time shooting this scene and working that dress that I couldn’t lift a glass of water the next day, my arms were beyond sore! Ha! Who would have thought glamming up could double as a fab arm toning workout? So much more fun than lifting weights (which between you and me, I personally abhor).
I accessorized this spectacular silk mermaid dress with a pair of vintage articulated gold earrings (for a touch of old Hollywood glamor), a matching gold pyramid stud cuff by CC Skye (for a touch of girl power) and my favorite pair of Marni platform sandals. They’re a rare breed of stilettos that not only look amazing but are so comfortable… I can glide effortlessly, spin with ease or gracefully pirouette for hours without twisting an ankle or breaking a toe! A must on this shoot because let me tell you, that dress was made to move! I know you’ll agree when you see it in action in the film. So stay tuned for the premiere, coming soon!
