The healthiest way to satisfy your Middle Eastern food cravings
I’m so excited to be officially introducing A Week’s Worth of Raw Middle Eastern, the sixth installment of The Global Girl Raw Recipe Series.
I have such a deep love for Middle Eastern cuisine!
Growing up in Africa, some of my all-time favorite treats were always to be found at the local Lebanese deli. One of my best memories ever as a child living in Cameroon was when my childhood hero, a wonderful friend from neighboring Chad – I affectionately called “uncle” Idris – would take us kids for an “all you can eat” escapade into Middle Eastern foodie heaven.
I would indulge my taste buds with pure delight. The flavors, colors and spices were amazing! Unfortunately, my little body would vehemently and consistently disapprove. And after feasting on these overly oily offerings, I’d wind up with severe bouts of indigestion and a pounding migraine. I didn’t mind paying the price though. The fun, joy and love made it all well worth it.
As years passed, I increasingly made my health and well-being a top priority and pretty much resolved myself to the fact that my infatuation with Middle Eastern food was never to be indulged again. So for years, I deprived myself of this culinary pleasure… Well no more!
Thanks to these wholesome re-mastered Middle Eastern classics (all 100% raw, low fat, vegan and gluten-free), I can now treat myself to my fave Middle Eastern treats without sacrificing my health and well-being. I’ve really been loving these recipes and know that you will too.
Let’s take a peek inside the eBook and see what’s on the menu for next week …
Hope you’re hungry!

I wanna try all of them! Though I’m pretty sure the No-Grain & Gluten-Free Tabbouleh will be my fave.
I’m interested with the dips. Thanks so much for sharing!
Thank you for enriching us with the recipes of other countries. That’s why we keep coming back!
Your Manaeesh Crackers and Black Sesame Pita Crackers are the best! They’re perfect substitutes for the salted ones at the supermarket. Thanks! Love it!
