I confess I’ve been a little feather obsessed lately. So for Day 1 of New York Fashion Week, I rocked two feather looks back to back! My favorite feathered fishtail top with matching ruffle shorts from Korean designer Son Jung Wan’s Fall 2013 Collection (you can check it out here) followed by an homage to the classic and elegant black and white look. Of course, I had to give it a twist! So I indulged in a most unexpected combination. A dressed up backless feather-trimmed top with dressed down white wide leg pants. I have a predilection for unexpected combinations but I always keep a silhouette clean and structured (only on very few occasions will I let myself loose, stylistically speaking). I’m a compulsive belt hoader. It’s a bit problematic at times (especially where packing a suitcase is concerned) but on the plus side I’m rarely running out of belting options. In this case, I opted for an adjustable vintage patent leather cinch belt. Simple and gorge. The Black & White laser cut lambskin handbag was custom-made for me by the fabulous Onna Ehrlich based on her royal blue & yellow Joss Laser tote. J’adore!
