Colin Bryant

I’m a very hands-on producer (meaning I’m a hard working girl) but the job comes peppered with lots of wonderful perks including taking part in the magical process of casting. Though I’ll make up my mind in the split of a second when it comes to who I feel will embody one of the film’s key characters best, choosing a leading man is one of those moments when a little indecision pays off big time 😉 I’m talking hunk gazing galore and pouring for hours through hundreds of impossibly handsome actors head shots… Not a bad life, I concede!

Now for Second Chance, Colin was so perfect for the part (you’ll know what I mean when you see the film) that he cut my hunk quest prematurely short. What I love about Colin, besides the obvious in the looks department, is his bucketloads of charm and disarmingly fun self humor. We put this 6′ 5” tall pro athlete, and former Minnesota Vikings Tight End, through a helluva silly and physically challenging situation on this shoot and he was not only game but ready to jump in with both feet and without question. Talk about a producer’s dream! He’s a really great guy besides and wonderful to be around so I thought I’d give you all a chance to hang out with him here on theglobalgirl.com. Enjoy ~

Got a nickname?

Well I say I don’t have one but everyone comes up with one for me. Out here I get Thor a lot.

What’s your Hometown? Where did you grow up?

I grew up in Clarks Grove, MN. Small town of 678 people. We had a lot of cornfields.

What was your childhood like?

I had two brothers and a dad that loved sports. So a lot of my time was spent playing sports. Football in the fall, hockey in the winter and baseball in the summer.

What language(s) do you speak?

I took French in high school so I remember some of that. I am learning Spanish now.

What countries have you traveled to?

I haven’t ventured out of the U.S. that much. Only a trip to the Bahamas, which was amazing. I really want to spend some time in Europe though.

Is it true you played professional football?

Yes, kind of. I played college in Minnesota and went into camp with the Minnesota Vikings and was cut. I then went on to spend some time in the AFL and CFL.

What made you decide to become an actor?

I have always enjoyed watching movies and respected their craft. But it really came down to my brother talking me into it.

What do you enjoy most about being an actor in Hollywood?

I like all the different people I get to meet. There are so many people from different backgrounds, it’s great to hear their stories and learn from them.

Tell us a little bit about your character in “Second Chance”?

I’m the ex-boyfriend trying to win my girlfriend back. Though I am not really sure what I did wrong, hopefully nothing too bad, I think I do try pretty hard to get her back.

What was it like working with Ndoema?

I had a blast working with Ndoema, though I always felt like I was chasing her. We had a few good talks that I really enjoyed.

What was the vibe like on set?

It was very relaxed and ended up being a lot of fun.

Your experience on this shoot in 3 words?

One to remember.

What are some of your interests outside of acting?

Mostly I enjoy sports, right now it’s golf and volleyball, but I would like to attempt surfing since I am on the coast.

What’s your secret ambition?

My ambition for the longest time was to play in the NFL, though I am done I would still like to.

What’s your most appealing quality?

My sense of humor.

What’s the last book you read?

The book I am reading now is The Blade Itself by Joe Abercrombie, great book with great characters. I enjoy all types of books but mostly stick to fantasy. I do like murder mysteries as well.

What’s currently on your playlist?

Almost all country music, I have always listened to it. Garth Brooks, Jason Aldean, and Jerrod Neimann.

Who are your heroes?

I look up to my mom. What she has endured in her life and overcome amazes me. She is the strongest person I know.

Describe yourself in 3 words?

Shy. Respectful. Funny.

What’s your idea of a romantic evening?

lol, I guess it would be going out dancing, then a walk in a park or beach and watch the stars. Something like that.

What makes her irresistible?

Her eyes and skin. The way she moves with such grace and control. The way she commands the room just by being in it.

Favorite movie?

Fletch, Chevy Chase is great.

How would you describe your personal fashion style?

I am a jeans and t-shirt kind of guy.

Where do you see yourself 10 years from now?

I have no idea, hopefully happy as I can be.

Tell us something about you we might not expect.

I am a big fan of board games. I enjoy playing chess as well as games like Monopoly.
