On Day 4 of New York Fashion week, I experienced a mild case of weather pronoia (the opposite of paranoia, where everything seems to conspire in your favor). Nemo’s tempestuous fit seemed to have come to a pause. The snow had stopped pouring and had even melted off the sidewalks in parts and a tentative sun was intermittently brightening up the Big Apple’s sky. So I seized the opportunity with both legs! I unpacked my beloved pair of thigh high suede boots by Nicholas Kirkwood and a draped leather skirt by All Saints for a brief leg show.
To compensate for the sheer stockings, I was wearing at least four layers of woolens under that impeccably cut Karl Lagerfeld jacket. The proof if need be that brilliant tailoring pays off in all the right places. With a cozy pashmina scarf, a warm pair of vintage gloves and my favorite Dolce & Gabbana bag in hand, I felt ready to take Lincoln Plaza by storm.
